Enoch Arden

Experience the poignant tale of Enoch Arden at SALLE DES FRANCISCAINS in Nice. This theatrical adaptation by the Théâtre National de Nice brings to life the story of a former fisherman turned merchant sailor who marries Annie Lee, only to face hardship and separation. After a tragic shipwreck leaves Enoch presumed lost for ten years, he returns home to find Annie remarried. The narrative unfolds with emotional depth, accompanied by a subtle and powerful score inspired by Richard Strauss's music. Pianists Alexandra Roshchina and Alain Jacquon, performing as Duo Hands, join actor Hervé Van der Meulen to present this moving recital blending narration and piano four hands, based on Alfred Tennyson's poem.
