Orgueilleuse

Set in a small, isolated village in the Nièvre region, "Orgueilleuse" unfolds through the voices of three women—neighbors and friends—who initially claim they have little to share. Yet, through their quiet and humble testimonies, their seemingly ordinary lives reveal moments of subtle transformation and self-discovery. The play explores how small, everyday choices—like a missed dance snack, a skipped school grade, or a chance encounter with a stranded stranger—can ripple into significant changes. Inspired by the butterfly effect, this theatrical work by Théâtre National de Nice delicately portrays the fragile beauty of life's unexpected turns.
