The Little Boy with a Bird's Shadow

Set in the remote desert, this poignant theatre production tells the tale of Abezou’ch, a young boy living alone with his grandmother Gazella after his family has moved to the city. Grieving his solitude, Abezou’ch discovers that his shadow takes the shape of a bird, initially frightening him and prompting him to hide it. As night falls, the bird-shadow grows stronger, eventually taking flight. Commissioned by Muriel Mayette-Holtz and written by Anne Sibran, this play combines mystery and delicate shadow and silhouette play to engage young audiences in a subtle and moving story presented by Théâtre National de Nice at Salle des Franciscains in Nice.
