The Little Boy with a Bird's Shadow

Set in the desert's edge, this theatre production by Théâtre National de Nice tells the poignant story of Abezou’ch, a young boy living alone with his grandmother Gazella after his family has moved to the city. Struggling with loneliness, Abezou’ch discovers that his shadow takes the shape of a bird, initially frightened and trying to hide it. As night falls, the bird shadow grows stronger and eventually begins to fly, opening a world of mystery and wonder. Directed by Muriel Mayette-Holtz with a script by Anne Sibran, this play engages young audiences with delicate storytelling, shadow play, and silhouette imagery, inviting reflection on loss and imagination in a beautifully crafted setting at SALLE DES FRANCISCAINS in Nice.
