Set in the intimate Théâtre Princesse Grace in Monaco, "Le Dernier Cèdre du Liban" tells the compelling story of Eva, a 17-year-old girl who, after being abandoned at birth, discovers a trove of tapes left by her mother, Anna Duval, a courageous war reporter. Through these audio recordings, Eva pieces together the life of her free-spirited and passionate mother amid historic events from the Lebanese Civil War to the fall of the Berlin Wall. This theatre production blends personal investigation with sweeping historical moments, offering a poignant exploration of memory, identity, and the stories that shape us. Featuring performances by Maëlis Adalle, Magali Genoud, and Azeddine Benamara, and directed by Nikola Carton, the play is a powerful tribute to the women who witness and narrate history.
