Eden

At Théâtre National de Nice "La Cuisine," Eden brings to the stage the story of Sonora, a young woman growing up in Kentucky. Alongside her friends Clayton, Domino, and Rufus, Sonora seeks escape and adventure by exploring the lavish homes of their wealthy neighbors. Their carefree explorations are upended when Sonora opens up about her missing brother, forcing the group to confront difficult truths. Written by American playwright Naomi Wallace and directed by Tommy Milliot, this play examines lost dreams and the realities behind the American dream, exploring themes of inequality and social injustice through the eyes of youth.
