La Terre

La Terre, staged at Théâtre National de Nice "La Cuisine," is a theatrical adaptation of Émile Zola's novel by Anne Barbot and Agathe Peyrard. Set in late 19th-century rural France, the play explores the lives of a farming family as they navigate generational change and the complexities of inheritance. With a backdrop of agricultural labor, shifting seasons, and family tension, this production immerses audiences in the daily realities and social challenges of the countryside. Eight actors bring Zola's powerful story to life, capturing both the physical and emotional toil of rural existence.
